The 63rd annual Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art took place last night and was in honour of  the late Alexander McQueen.

It's the fashionistas event of the year and the red carpet always boasts the most fabulous ensembles, British designs were particulary prominent this year due to the Alexander McQueen honouring theme.
